William Seekins John William Seekins is my
father's father. My name is David Lester Seekins and I was born 3-27-50 in
Jamestown, NY. My father William (Bill) had four sisters as listed on your
website, Beulah, Cozy, Esther and Grace. If you could please add his name,
William Burt Seekins, to the list of the children of John William Seekins,
we would be grateful. William was born on 1-11-20 and died 04-30-94. He had
one brother Gerald Seekins, now deceased, and one sister Fairlene, also now
deceased. Gerald had one son, Kevin Seekins and Fairlene (who married Ray
Ross) had one daughter, Debbie Ross. We could get info on this line of the
family, if desired. My wife Sharon and I have one son, Brian William Seekins,
born 12-8-77. Brian has a son Tyler David Seekins, born 5-2-2004. If you
want more info from us, please advise. We were very excited to find this
link. PJ: 6/20/2001: Eva A. Hammond, 92, of Tanglewood Manor, formerly of 4391 Mahanna Road, Bemus Point, died at 9:03 p.m. Wednesday (June 20, 2001) in WCA Hospital. Hammond of Ellery Center; three grandsons: David J. Hammond of Lakewood, John A,. Hammond of Jamestown and Mark L. Hammond of Gowanda; three great-grandchildren; and 27 foster children; and brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry A. Hammond, whom she married Aug. 8, 1926, in Bemus Point, and who died Feb. 17, 1995; and several brothers and sisters. Burial will be in Bemus Point Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Eva told me in 1994 - The obit of her sister Louise May Seekins states that she is buried in Bemus Point Cemetery. Eva says she is buried in cemetery at Falconer along with their Grandfather. Eva's sister Ellen, at age 11, was killed by a fire explosion. Her twin brothers Leslie & Wesley, who died at birth Nov. 16, 1911, were buried in the woods near Dewittville. Sister, Leta Matilda Seekins, born Apr. 28, 1910 died at 3 weeks and was buried in a shoe box in Bemus Point Cemetery. Her father, Albert A.
