Peter Parker 1680 - 1720    his parents
& Elizabeth ?
|  her parents
of Chowan Prect. NC

This is my working hypothesis - the way I see it as of this moment!!

Although many researchers claim Peter and Elizabeth as the parents of the Northampton Parkers I think his children were the Parkers who were the early Baptists and their son Joseph was the Elder who moved his congregation to near the present town of Murfreesboro, NC and started Parker's Meeting now known as the Meherrin Baptist Church. The Northampton Parkers were descended from Peter's brother Thomas.

1714, 18 Jan - Peter Parker of Chowan Co NC bought 200 acres from John Early and wife Mary
1716, 5 Sept - Peter Parker wrote his will
1717, 14 Oct - Peter Parker and his wife Elizabeth sold 280 acres to John Welsh of Chowan Co
1720, April Court Chowan Co NC - Will of Peter Parker was probated.

"An entry in the Journal of John Comer of Boston in 1729 says he received a letter two years previous from a Baptist Church in NC signed by Thomas, Joseph and John Parker."
