Sally's great-great great Grandparents:

Samuel Walkup ca 1770 - 1836his parents
& ? ? ca 1772-18??
|  her parents
of Camden County, North Carolina

This is my working hypothesis - the way I see it as of this moment!!

Samuel Walkup and his wife were married ca 1789 in Camden Co., NC.
Samuel Walkup, son of John Wachup, shoemaker, and his first wife, who perhaps was a daughter of Nathan Gregory and wife Susan, was born either in Camden or Currituck County ca 1770. Perhaps also Lydia's mother's name was Lovey Gregory? or maybe Cooper (I remember faintly grandmother telling me that she was kin to the Coopers from over that way) born c1772 in Camden County and the grand-daughter of David and Lovey Gregory. The census shows a number of daughters and perhaps a son or two in Sam Walkup's household

Children of Samuel Walkup and [Lovey Gregory]:
1. Sarah Walkup ca 1802
       married Abner Berry ca 1796
2. Lydia Jane Walkup born ca 1907
       married Dorsey Sanderlin ca 1811
3. Emily Walkup  ca 1810
married Enoch P Daily ca 1800
4. Mary Walkup ca 1811
        married  Stephen Forbes ca 1793
? 5.  daughter
       married James Bray

Camden County Deed Book:

18 Jan 1816 Lenard Gregory to Samuel Walkup house & 4 A for $45.
10 Feb 1816 Thomas Gregory to Sam Walkup 5 A for $50.
14 April 1816 David & Nancy Dunken to Samuel Walkup 5 A for $50.
1 Feb 1823 Abner & Elizabeth Cooper to Samuel Walkup 27 A on Sandy Hook Rd.

Nov term 1836-- Dorsey and Lydia Sanderlin -- deed 10 A. of land lying next to Lovey
Walkup to Enoch Daily.

led to by entries in "Deed Book Relationships Camden Co, NC " by Elizabeth McPhearson Jones
1839 - Camen Co Deed Book V page 328 ---being part of the tract of land that belonged to Samuel Walkup at his death and in the division among his lawful heirs was set off to Abner Berry in write of his wife Sarah and known as Lot no 2 bounded by Lot no 1 and 3 which were set off to E P Daily in write of his wife Emily and the heirs of James Bray containing 11 acres----

1852 - Deed Book Z page 363 ---land that Mary Forbes, Lidia Sanderlain and Sarah Berry herited from Samuel Walkup deceased containing thirty two acres ---
