Sally's great-great
great Grandparents:
Samuel Walkup ca 1770 - 1836
| his parents
& ? ? ca 1772-18??
| her parents
of Camden County, North Carolina
This is my working hypothesis - the way I see it as of
this moment!!
Samuel Walkup and his wife
were married ca 1789 in Camden Co., NC.
Samuel Walkup, son of John Wachup, shoemaker, and his first wife, who perhaps was a
daughter of Nathan Gregory and wife Susan, was born either in Camden or Currituck County
ca 1770. Perhaps
also Lydia's mother's name was Lovey Gregory? or maybe Cooper (I remember faintly
grandmother telling me that she was kin to the Coopers from over that way) born c1772 in
Camden County and the grand-daughter of David and Lovey Gregory. The census shows a number
of daughters and perhaps a son or two in Sam Walkup's household
Children of Samuel Walkup and [Lovey Gregory]:

3. Emily Walkup ca 1810

4. Mary Walkup ca 1811
