her first marriage to Wiley Outlaw, Penny Scull. Copied March 9, 1911. Wiley
Outlaw was my mother's father. signed Raleigh J Baker [died in Ahoskie, NC on
April 11, 1921]

1830 May Ct Hertford Co NC James -- Scull in on Motion, appointed
Inspector "from Pitch Landing to Sharp's Mill" and enters into bond
for the Sum of Five hundred pounds with Wm. Hays & James Alston Securieties
and is duly qualified. Hertford Co Ct minutes.
21 Feb 1834 James Sharp Scull died in Mississippi probably while looking for new
land in which to settle.

21 Oct 1749 Edward Scull of Nansemond Co VA bought 250 ac of
land from Jacob Lasher in Bertie Co NC for 12 pounds in Virginia script. on the
edge of Flatt Swamp. G pp 308/09
1 Oct 1751 Edward Scull bought 160 ac of land on Deep Creek from Thomas Jones of
Petty Shore 30 pounds in Virginia script.
13 Oct 1752 Edward Scull bought 200 ac of land adj. the Wiccacon Ferry Rd,
beginning at the bridge on the east side of Deep Creek from Henry Reed for 37
pounds Virginia currency
1755 Edward Scull bought 50 ac of land on the other side of Deep Creek from
Gidian Gilbert of Duplin Co for 10 pounds of Virginia currency.
10 Sept 1757, Edward Scull, carpenter, sold 250 ac on Deep Creek for 80 pounds
to Joseph Jackson, a factor for the British merchants Thomas Hartley and Timothy
Nicholls of the White Haven Company of Cumberland County, England. these were
the two parsels bought from Gilbert and Reed.
11 July 1758, Edward Scull, carpenter of Society Parish, sold the 250 ac of
Flatt Swamp to Matthias Brickell of Society Parish, for 20 pounds Virginia
currency.
5 Dec 1758, Edward Scull and Faraba Scull his wife 150 ac on Deep Creek to
Absalom Rawls 40 pounds Virginia currency.
1759 the land owned by Edward Scull fell into the new county Hertford.
1764 Edward Scull was on a coroner's jury
April 1767 the estate of Edward Scull, Hertford Co NC
May Ct 1774 On Motion of Mr Worth Attorney at law ordered that John Skull,
orphan of John Skull deceased be bound unto Edward Skull to learn the trade of a
House Carpenter & joiner untill he arrives at the age of twenty one years he
being now sixteen years & six months old.
Ordered that Zedekiah Able a mulato the orphen of --- Able be bound an
apprentice to Edward Skull to learn the trade of a carpenter, aged about
fourteen years.
