1956-1957: Mrs. Edward [Billie] Madeley  - 84 members

-  Billie was the Club's first Nationally Accredited Master Flower Show Judge.
 She was well known as a lecturer on flower arranging and table settings. 
 She organized "The Little Sprouts," a junior garden club, which won top state awards for years.

 - The second Edition of "Gardening in the College Station Area" was published in 1964.
  The fly page reads compiled by the A&M Garden Club, Mrs Guy A Franceschini-- President; Mrs R E Snuggs--- Chairman of the Horticulture Committee.
  Acknowledgments: 
     The A&M Garden Club wishes to acknowledge and express appreciation to all members who gave of their gardening knowledge in consultant assistance in the compilation of this book. 
Special Recognition is Due: Mrs J E Roberts, who compiled the first edition of "Gardening int the College Station Area," from which much of this material is reprinted. Also for her assistance in revising some of the subject matter.
      Mrs Al B Nelson, Exhibition Judge, the American Iris Society, for writing the pages on bearded Iris culture. Mrs J B Covington for writing the pages on Day Lily Culture. Mrs. Covington is a Exhibition Judge of the American Hemerocallis Society. She also served as Awards and Honors Judge,  the American Hemerocallis Society 1958-63. Mrs Frederick Lewis for writing the Rose culture pages. Marcia Smith for designing the cover.
